  • Character is what defines you as an unique person.  Today’s character trait is Attentive.  Being attentive means you watch and listen carefully.  Some people call it “whole body” listening.  You are not forgetful, distracted or distracting.  You also do not ignore or interrupt.  Does this describe you?  What do you need to start doing to be more attentive?

  • Attention 5th and 6th graders:  If you are interested in playing on a 5th and 6th grade boys basketball team, tryouts will be this Wednesday, December 6th from 1:00-2:30pm.  You will need a current sports physical and a signed insurance packet in order to tryout.  Please sign up in the office.

  • Don’t forget about the canned food drive! 4th & 5th graders, drop off items in your classrooms. 6th-8th grades, drop off items in your English class! Items will be collected and counted each day. 4th grade is currently in the lead with 46  items! 5th grade is close behind with 22 items! What grade level will bring enough to win a holiday party?!

  • Junior high students:  Starting today, you will have the option of staying inside for recess.  If you would prefer to stay inside, please report to the gym and sit on the bleachers.  Students will still have the option to go outside to the playground.  You will not, however, be able to move between inside and outside.  You will need to pick the gym or the playground and stay there for the entire recess period.  As always, you will not be allowed upstairs without a pass.  Make sure you bring your coat with you if you are going outside.

  • This week’s fuel recipe is a burger with a spicy chipotle- ranch spread, lettuce, and tomato.  Come down and fuel up!
