I graduated from Illinois State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also attended Eureka College and received my Special Education Teaching License.
After graduating from ISU, I taught Preschool for three years in the Peoria area. Then, I started working as a teacher’s assistant in a special education classroom in Peoria, and was there for three years. After my first year working with students with special needs, I decided to go back to school for special education. This will be my fourth year teaching at CEC.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and have been living in Central Illinois since 2008. I have always loved school and teaching, and starting working in a classroom in high school through a Teaching Assistant Program. I enjoy spending time with family and friends on the weekends. I love to travel, and my family and I are trying to visit every major league baseball stadium. So far we have been to 13 different stadiums! I am very excited for this school year and look forward to meeting and getting to know each of my students.
